Excellent version of this timeless classic.
I'm a Geordie from Gateshead and have crossed the River Tyne more than five thousand times. I saw the Esso Northumbria launched, at 253,000 tons it was then the largest moving object on Earth, and in recent years the decline of the river and the closure of all the shipyards. This river is an important part of our culture and heritage and will always be special to me.
Like to hear the ladies sing Big River (Jimmy Nail) or After the Gold Rush (Prelude).

They seem to play this tune at the end of Catherine Cookson dramas on 'Yesterday', and the version sung by these girls is just lovely, their voices are excellent, beautiful harmony.
