On November 17th, 2009, small business owners from around the country sent a letter to Karen Ignagni, the health insurance companies' top lobbyist, asking for her to sit down with them and hear how they were being hurt and jobs being lost because of the insurance industry.
She never showed up, but 500 health reform supporters did. Check it out.

So agree- what's good for business is good for jobs is good for Americans and every American deserves a job and good health. This a jobs and economic growth issue, as well as a reform issue, as well as the health of a nation issue.

No more special rights to special interests! No more special rights to insurance! No more exemptions!

With Medicare for All or Single Payer covering illness and accidents, think what kind of boost that would be for small businesses. Workmen's Comp would be obsolete or nearly so. Even a tax wouldn't come close to the prohibitive costs of WC & health ins. WC was by far the biggest expense of our business. Also, they kept a $10,645 overpayment for 18 months--even during that time, they will cancel if YOUR payment is days late. Think about it....Jobs would be booming without those heavy burdens
