Pepsi Refresh Project Grant Recipient #31 Bike and Build

Sharif Morad had the idea to bike across the country, stopping along the way to build homes. He submitted his idea, you voted, and it won a $5,000 Pepsi Refresh grant. The Pepsi Refresh Project is giving millions of dollars to fund ideas that refresh the world.

@learber Bike & Build is a non-profit that sets up cross-country cycling trips for the affordable housing cause. There are 8 trips each summer with around 30 young adults on each who each have to fundraise a minimum of $4000...some of that goes towards trip costs but the rest all goes directly into the affordable housing cause through either rider grants ($500 each) or a competitive grant process. Sharif used his $5000 to finish off his fundraising and help out a few other riders finish theirs.
