perhaps i wasn't clear in my presentation, maybe this will help. my "unusual association" is not a visual association. rather, it is a audio association - how the flight patterns of a bumblebee result in the orchestra piece "flight of the bumblebee". so, my association does not result in a picture, as many others have.

Good idea for the association. Very simple and clearly stated. What I liked most was how you chose to use associations of the bumble bee to create colors and movement for you video. Nice job.

Nice job John, using flash objects that follows the pace of the music. However, I am not sure if this is a unusual association.

Rimsky-Korsakov's idea was pretty unusual composing a piece of music inspired by the flight of a bee. Your abstract, but color-matched accompaniment allowed that to sink in for me, so I appreciate the understatement.

I'm not sure the association is accurate as you portray. The visuals sync up nicely with the music, but I don't think they are quite representative of the actual flight pattern of a bummble bee. Though similar, I'm not sure it's that eratic. They are twitchy, but their flights also seem more deliberate and purposeful.
