A short tourism video about Alcester in Warwickshire.
Originally known by the name Aluana, Alcester is a thriving rural market town with history dating back to Roman times.
Today its medieval street pattern survives remarkably intact along with many restored historic buildings and picturesque streets.
These include the Church of St Nicholas with its 14th century tower, and the early 17th century Town Hall.
There are many archaeological sites in and around the town which is celebrated by the Roman Alcester Museum and Visitor Centre.
