The Starck Club was where the whole Ecstacy movement began. Can you believe Dallas of all places? Stevie Nicks and Grace Jones were part owners, You could buy XTC there legally until the DEA got freaked out and banned it immediately. They raided the club that first weekend, They turned on the lights, turned off Falco's "Rock Me Amadeus", and people scattered like flies throwing baggies and pills all over the floor. It was the Studio 54 of the New Wave era. See video about it in my favorites

Yeah mahn I did the google thing...fascinating just like a mirror of our Chicago scene at the same time. That's right, I remember that, when xtc leagal in TX for an extra long time. So you guys copped the first big bust...I'll check out yer vid...I guess they deserved to shut you down during rockme amadeus...Falco sure was funny!
