Perhaps we just need to start our own run on the right coast that is open to all busses. I saw that for 2011 they now specify splitties only. Oh well, I reckon my bus that can go highway speeds just isn't worthy. :-) Still a very cool run and I wish the Newts all the best on this years drive.

Looks like so much fun. I can't find a splitty in my range(cheap) not even in rusty pieces.There was a CLEAN 67 on craigslist last week for $1500 but it was gone right away.

@airschnitz I asked the same thing.How about organizing a bay team? These aren't private roads.I hope nobody takes offense to me saying that but I wanna play too!

Volkswagen Bus t1 is my dream car! i Wish I've got it! i my opinion that's no matter how fast U ride, U have to ride with class and style:) and VW type 2 t1 is in my opinion one of the most stylish cars on the world! I love it!

funny you mention that schnitz... i contacted them a few months ago asking the same thing ( except im in dallas) and i was told that it was a split bus ONLY trip. mabye its just me being bitter but isnt that a bit prejudice. its still a bus, why cant we go have fun to???

LOL! Thanks! You know that trip was intense and I just wanted to find a song that matched the intensity...and that feeling that driving for 18 hours straight just goes by in some kinda blur!
