22 children from Nor Kharberd N2 School took part in the first program. Following the introductory tour at the gallery, the children actively participated in the power-point presentation, moderated by Tatevik Tamazyan, the Program Manager of the Armenian Society for the Protection of Birds. The topic of the presentation was "Forests and their Protection". 2011 is announced as the "Year of Forests", and on March 21, the day before the program, the International Day of the Protection of Forests was celebrated. The children were very interested both in the exhibition and the presentation and were full of enthusiasm, when the time came for the creative part of the program. Mr. Davit Paradyan, the CCA Installation Specialist and Conservator, led the workshop. Using various materials, such as empty boxes, foam plastics, colorful papers, threads, acryl paints, sprays, the children created a forest. The process of the workshop was indeed very engaging, and the result even exceeded the expectation. The children got wonderful experience.
