We hope you like Moses' Gule Wamkulu dance, a traditional dance performed at Christmas and other festivities. It is performed by the Chewa people of Malawi, who live predominantly in the south of the country. Moses (eleven) learned it when living in Salima, before he moved north to the Nkhata Bay area where Ganet's Adventure School is. His costume is made from dried banana leaves.

Thanks to our volunteer Jean Ni for filming the dance.

Ganet's Adventure School, Malawi
The school was founded by its Malawian director, Gertrude Banda, in a village in northern Malawi, and teaches primary and nursery age children. It receives no government funding, and relies on support from around the world to keep it running.
