Ok, thanks for the info and I think your right. I read about a guy who uses a cement mixer to clean coins found detecting and it sort of looks like this tumbler. The motor will be strong also as that's basically what their made for. Maybe I will bash some dents in the drum to agitate the rocks more and simulate the six sides on yours.

I have a small business that requires 1 1/4" cubes made from acrylic plastic. They are very expensive to purchase so I've decided to make my own cubes by pouring liquid acrylic into molds. I am wondering if a rock tumbler like yours would also round the edges and polish my plastic cubes. Any thoughts?

Ya, vid quality isn't so good, but seeing the thing working helped me out. It would have been nice to have some finished material shown also at the end. Anyway, I was thinking of getting something similar to this for greater amounts of rock than the little tumblers, so for me it is a good vid.

Well shortly after this vid, the motor crapped out on me. $139 for a new motor. But this is a great tumbler! It's six sided shape and the tilted drum polishes a good bit faster than round drums that sit flat in their cradle.
