  • i've got a downpayment on a lovebird, the breeder hand feeds them and everything like you did with her, i fell in love with a lovebird that he had but he was already soldd to a 5 year old girl. andd i decided i wanted one :-D annd i cannot wait to get him :D

  • good ^_^ you will be so happy with him/her

  • my lovebird is a fierce little monster has been since day one. We tried working with her but she will have none of it. It is so nice to see such a loving bond between you and tiny she is adorable.

  • Tiny is not a store bought bird, we bred her from our older lovebirds which are gone now, but we have hand fed her before her eyes had even opened, which really helps a lot. she dosnt know fear of hands, cus our hands and face were the first thing she ever saw, not her true parents.

  • I always think its sad when a bird has clipped wings. I know many people say you can't have a bird as a pet if you don't do this, but my argument back is maybe birds shouldn't be pets.

  • ahha i thought it was only me that likes to pet my love bird on the neck part

  • she's so cute! what pretty colors! I have a lovebird too and he's very tame as well and also friends with one of my cats...the other will eat him so we keep him away when he's out

  • how does your cat and bird get along. I have had a cat for nearly 6 yrs now and I would love to get a pair or love birds but I don't know how the kitty will take to having this new addition to the family.

  • how do you tame a wild lovebird

  • We do not. Even though they get a long really really well.. We do and will not ever.. lol.

Sorry for the long wait and thank you for the question!

  • That's difficult. Wild birds are not even close to being used to humans.. Its a long and strenuous training regiment.

Note me for more info and i can give you what you need..

NOTE: I do not support the capture of wild birds.

  • Sirgimppy's Wife here-

Do you live in an area that has chipmunks or squirrels in the trees and have the door/window open frequently? S/he may be copying the noise they hear. =3 It's not common for lovies, but yes, they can do it.

  • so cute

  • Do you ever leave the lovebird and cat together unattended?
