kart test drive

First test drive of the kart I built. 9HP Subaru Robin OHC engine, differential, dual disc hydrualic brakes, electronic throttle. I tried to GPS the speed but the GPS wasn't working so I didn't get it.

Hey kore464, can you tell me how you made the elctronic throttle? Or at least the principle of it. Thanks. BTW love your kart. ;)

@asnaknafu Thanks! It uses a PWM circuit using two 555 timer IC's controlled with a potentiometer. The output from one of the IC's goes directy to an R/C servo. I found a simple schematic using google but, I can't remember what I typed to find it.

I still have it but, I haven't been able to use it as I broke the clutch and haven't had the funds to replace. I'm hoping to get to it eventually as I never got to try it out :(

i like the idea of the electronic throttle. but a cables dont require batteries. and b. i dont want my go kart to be a toyota

555timers but the are mainly used for led flashes or verry simple circuitry how does that work then?
