Both the Tsardom of Russia and the Russian Federation suck compared to the Soviet Union. Why ? Tsars limited the people's freedom and the economy was a lot weaker than that of the British Empire, France or the US. Russian Federation was a mess : Boris Yeltsin made Russia a hell on the Earth and Vladimir Putin raised it a little with the help of rising oil price. Of course, the Soviet Era is a crucial period in Russia history and therefore must be included in this video about the Russian anthem.
