Presidio Slaughter Horses Located at Alverado Holding Pens

This holding facility is the last stop before horses are shipped to Mexico for slaughter. The pen is leased by C 4 cattle. Reports have been given that it is a common occurrence for horses to die out at this pen. This video shows very thin, injured animals. Please help stop the abuse out at this holding pen!!!! Just because these are slaughter horses, does not mean they are exempt from Texas animal cruelty laws. Animals are required to be given adequate food, water and shelter and must be maintained in a good state of health. People need to be made accountable for breaking the law and allowing animals to suffer.

@Jbeezy17217 : Have a vet put the horse down, or find the b*lls to shoot it. There's your answer. If the horse hasn't been pumped full of drugs, there are places which will take the meat and use it for zoo animals. A proper shot to the head is not cruel. Sending horses to auction and slaughter is.

The fact that this kind of thing occurs tells me that our government is failing us miserably. make the government responsible for this. This is animal cruelty and is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.

Who dragged those horses out to the wash and left that one to die?

Someone should be charged for that and as of yet, no charges for animal abuse at all. What chance is there that those who were responsible for that horse (and the others) will face charges?

first of all .. i do not like or condone horse slaughter but what about the people who have no othee option they are broke cant afford to have the horse put down cant sell it and cant afford feed ... its a terrible thing but it helps keep the population down and with rescues at there max what do you expect people to do let them free and try to fend for themselves ..

C4 took ownership of all the animals and then promptly had them shipped to Mexico for slaughter. YOU need to do some research.

I have tried to let people know the facts in this case...but Mr. Fields is busy spreading the horrible pictures....the people that I have talked to have been very respectful and willing to listen with the exception of Mr. Fields and Mr. Long with horseback magazine...
