Evelyne Crochet plays JS Bach Prelude & Fugue No. 14, WTC 2. From a recording of the complete Well-Tempered Clavier.

For another profound work of Bach, listen to the following Prelude and Fugue in C# Minor, BWV 849:

  • beautiful

  • the romantic side of Bach. *____* There is nobody comparable in composing issues!

  • this was really interesting to listen to, beautifully and exactly played. thank you ^___^ <3

  • Prefer this prelude-fugue pair to be played at this slow tempo which brings out the voices in upmost clarity and intense emotions. A very fine & merticulous interpretation of the F# minor pair, in fact one of the best interpretations I've ever heard!

  • I like this slower approach, as compared to more common interpretations. Especially in the fugue, the voices are clearly separated and audible, a beauty
