Most youth growing up in poverty are at risk of not developing into healthy and productive adults, and are often less interested in academic learning and traditional after-school programs. Without support, these youth arrive at adolescence lacking a positive vision of their future. Therefore, 4-H at Fountain Square Academy created a 4-H Clubs for 5th, 6th and 7th graders to foster independence, individual success, and a sense of belonging to a positive group.
