What you don't realise, Ty, is that he invoked artistic licence to enhance his routine with a bit of creative improvisation. He is a comedian, not a tribute act. Only unimaginative people would expect a precise rendition. ;)

17.5 % VAT so 30 * 17.5%= 5.25

30+VAT(5.25)=35.25 close enough
