In South Korea it's been a cold, snowy winter but for a growing group of hardy enthusiasts its the perfect time to surf. Winter brings with it decent swell for waveriders to man up, suit up, and go surfing. Al Jazeera's Harry Fawcett reports from Busan, South Korea.

East Koreans are predominantly Buddhist. While there is a growing number of Shamanists, Confucianists and Taoists in the country. Protestantism has been declining in favour of Roman Catholicism but Christianity and the Non-religious population is overall declining among Young Koreans. Mugyo and Buddhism is extremely popular among young Koreans. Whereas some have increasingly declared themselves Taois or Confucianist.

Busan is a Buddhist area. Most East Koreans are Buddhist and some Shamanist. While the Christian fanatics are concentrated around Seoul and Non-religious in the North, Central and Southwest.

Korea now has Just over 53 percent of South Koreans profess religious affiliation. That affiliation is spread primarily among three traditions - Buddhism (22.8 percent), Protestantism (18.3 percent), and Catholicism (10.9 percent)
