My cover of a little known, but really excellent, protest song by Jonathan Kelly. From his album, released in the early 70s, Twice Around The Houses.

Yes, me too. The only version I had was from a BBC "In Concert", which I've still got somewhere! (probably unplayable)

Gary I had no idea you knew of JK. Madeline is one of my absolute favourites.
Quite sad - shame he could not do a Yusef (Cat) Islam and make a come back.
I used to do his "Madeline" at the folk club.
He turned his back on the music business having turned to drink and drugs. He found God in the form of the Jehova's Witnesses and though he performed twice at small venues a couple of years ago, he's said he won't do so again.

That was such a promising album, but he seemed to fade very quickly. Is he still alive?
