The assumption has long been that grass-fed beef production is better for the environment than grain-fed production using growth-promoting hormones, but a scientific review suggests that, indeed, may not be the case at all. • Growth hormones are an essential of life. They are found in every living thing. It is, in fact, called estrogen. Birth control pills that women take have extremely higher levels of estrogen than what we put in our beef. Human saliva has a higher level of estrogren an that in beef. As for pesticides in corn, biotechnological advances have allowed us to basically eliminate the use of pesticides on our fields.

  • Yes, but if it's mixed with grain and minerals the cows love it! Seriously, I went to a ranch with like 20 cows, all of them where free range. I threw some corn on the ground and guess what? STAMPEDE!!!

  • PROPOGANDA. Cow stomachs can not tolerate corn and makes them sick, thus requiring all those antibiotics. But, CORN is cheap, so this sick industry forces the animals to accomodate cheap corn rather than the more expensive, but healthier grass. Take your hormones, antibiotics and CORN and stick it in you big corn-fed mouth. LYING BASTARDS!

  • I would have to argue with you. The addition of harmones do have a serious side effect on the human population. The grains being fed to the cow all have pesitdes in them which continious soon to be re examined studies show have a detrimental effect on human beings and even worse on the enviorment not mention it's impact on the local community. I could go on but I don't know if u will ever read this
