See how the HTC EVO 4G LTE for Sprint stacks up against the very popular Samsung Galaxy S III for Verizon Wireless in Wirefly's newest Schmackdown Comparison Review Video.

Wirefly's Scott Lewis will take you through this four round Schmackdown comparison of the EVO 4G LTE and the GS3.

In the first round you will hear about the technical specs in both of these high powered smartphones and how the 720 x 1280 screen resolutions compare.

We take a look at the design of the GS3 and the EVO 4G LTE in round two and compare how some of the features on these two smartphones affect the design.

Round three compares the front and rear camera options on the phones and also talks about other new features like WiFi Hotspot and WiFi Direct.

In the last round you will see the results of an AnTuTu Benchmark and a Quadrant Standard Benchmark for both the GS3 and the EVO 4G LTE.

**Correction- The HTC EVO 4G LTE does have WiFi Direct capabilities**

Would anyone know how the wifi's compare? I have an Evo. As long as I'm in the same room as the router, it's great. No dropouts, disconnects or anything like that. But soon as I go in another room, or my garage (which is actually pretty close w/ only 1 wall between), the signal drops right off. Plus all other wife's, at home or anywhere I try it ... have 0 bars. It shows they're there. But too weak to connect.

I just wondered how the S3 does, or compares.

    Hi dewed,

It sounds like there is something wrong with your EVO. I have used both on Wi-Fi and there should not be any issues using it in other rooms. If your phone is under 1 year old I would have it service or replaced by Sprint. In general, I did not notice a difference in the performance between the two phones.

The EVO will handle a 64GB SD card as I have one in mine. Also the EVO does have WiFi direct as well. Please learn all features of the phone before you post a video about it saying what it doesn't have.

    Hi Jason Rowe,

You are 100% correct that the EVO 4G LTE has WiFi Direct. I'm sorry for missing that feature/detail. Thanks for leaving a comment so that others can see that it does has WiFi Direct as an option. I will add a correction in the description. I try to be as accurate as possible, but sometimes a feature will slip through the cracks.

I've played with both phones. S3 has a very strong blue tint. I love how dark it gets, but as soon as it's on it looks like shit because of the strong blue tint.
