My son participated and won a local Guitar Hero contest. It was held on a real stage as the opening act for the Cory Brunson Band in Denver, CO.

The judging was based on note percentage on med. (mandatory, my son usually plays on expert), Rock Star look, Rock Star performance, & crowd reaction. So only 25% of the score was actual game play. It was also for far ages 18 and under.
