First off, this video might be a little to dark due to poor lighting. My monitor needed some repairs. So rather then repair it, I just decided to replace it. This is part 1 of 3.

  • Most likely just needed to replace the flyback transformer. Probably would have solved your problem. Thanks for the kind words btw.

  • @YourMKArcadeSource Thats what I thought to. However I was curious about the new monitor so I decided to buy it to see what it was all about. Besides, now I can experiment on the older monitor so enhance my monitor knowledge.

  • Annoying that the monitor packed up, but looking forward to see what the new monitor picture is going to look like.

  • @ArcadeMameMachine In my opinion, the new monitor is pretty impressive. Parts 2 and 3 will be posted in a day or two.

  • lookin forward to seeing how that second vid comes out with the new monitor! I understand your pain. For me, I just don't have the cash to buy new parts for stuff so I do my best to figure out the problems with the old stuff. Doing some experiments on that old monitor will prove very valuable to you in the future and is a great idea

  • @lukemorse1 the new monitor is pretty impressive. Just wait for parts 2 and 3. The one thing I dont know to much about , in terms of actual repairs, are monitors. So I hope to increase my knowledge with by working on the old monitor.

  • yourmkarcadesource is the best

  • @ichigo3223 sweet! I didn't know the time limit was raised.

  • Youtube has now a 15 min time limit, so now you can fit more stuff in one video.

Anyways, good luck with your arcade repairs. Monitors (like tube ones) are very tricky to fix. I've never attempted to fix one cause im scared of shocking myself with it.

  • ooh, that sucks dude.
