  • @emperorvl No, because dependence of foreign oil is evil. The Amish actually have commonsense reasons for what they do, and one of those is avoiding dependence on outsiders. When you have to rely on someone with different beliefs, they can force you to do things that you believe are wrong, because you need what they have. Our nation would do well to follow their example.

  • Oil this is your downfall

  • @AnimetimeTV It's their way of life. And it's against their beliefs to use equipment that requires fuel. Try educating yourself for once.

  • @userunavailable3095 Amen brother, well said. Here in Japan we had the top spot but now have to out up with shite as we need too much from the outside world to survive.

  • @userunavailable3095 You hit the proverbial nail on the head when you say out nation would do well to follow their example!

  • @userunavailable3095 what about the fuel for the baler?

  • The Amish I know spend more energy trying get around their "beliefs" and rules, than they do trying to follow them. One that I like is that rubber tires are a big no-no, unless your "business" owns the equipment - then they are ok. I know an Amish dairy operator - his daughters milk 37 Holstiens twice a dya - with machines. If you're gonna be Amish, then BE AMISH.

  • @rockytopfarm you are an idiot

  • so that's how it was back in the olden days? working with horses

  • those are some good mules they must be pretty calm not to spook from the sound of the hay bailer and wagon i know my horse would

  • with gas prices going up and up..this will be the norm in 15 yrs.
