Antonio Echevarria, a paparazzo, is suing former boxer champ Mike Tyson for $25 million, claiming that Tyson beat him at LAX airport in November 2009, which resulted in severe injuries to his face, brain, spine, neck, and other parts of his body.

The photographer says when he was filming Tyson and his family as they walked through the airport to get on a Las Vegas flight, Tyson told the pap, "I will kill you" and then attacked him.

Both Tyson and Echevarria made complaints against each other for misdemeanor battery and placed each other under citizen's arrest. Ecehvarria was taken to the hospital for a forehead laceration, while Tyson was to taken to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Tyson's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley (yes, Lindsay's lawyer), released a statement defending Tyson, claiming that the photographer had bumped Tyson's baby stroller and ignored the airport staff when he was ordered to leave Tyson and his family alone.

Holley said:

"Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:30 pm, Mike Tyson, his wife, mother-in-law, assistant and 10-month-old baby daughter were walking through the United terminal at LAX, following an eleven-hour flight.

Mr. Tyson and his family were without security and attempting to make a connecting flight when they were aggressively approached by a paparazzo intent on provoking and harassing them. The paparazzo repeatedly refused to comply with the orders and directives of airport personnel to leave the family alone and continued to aggressively pursue the Tyson family--at one point colliding with the baby's stroller.

There are numerous witnesses to the paparazzo's provocative and unlawful conduct which culminated in his assault on Mr. Tyson and Mr. Tyson's responsive act in defense of his family. Mr. Tyson cooperated with law enforcement authorities and demanded that a citizen's arrest be made against the paparazzo.

Mr. Tyson remains confident that this matter will be appropriately addressed as the witnesses are interviewed and the facts borne out."

Well, I know what it's like to deal with people who act all psycho when they see a camera. Once I was in my friend's driveway checking the time on my cell phone, and this idiot runs out of the house across the street and gets in my face yelling at me because he thought I was taking pictures of his house (it wasn't even a camera phone). I told him what I was really doing, and the dickhead didn't even apologize for his rude outburst.

@logik316 Just cause you have a legal right doesn't mean you should do it. Tyson told the dude to stop filming. You've obviously never dealt with these scumbags. Get your car hit and then have them yell at you and maybe you'll start to see what an annoyance these idiots are. Dude, the photographer was standing well over 50 feet away when Tyson got upset and charged at him. Merely pointing a lens at someone is not a threatening act. People have a legal right to film anything they want in a public place, he was under no obligation to put his camera down.

Maybe paparazzi shouldn't have been stalking dude. Didn't that asshole listen to Mike when he asked to put the camera away the first time? Fuck paparazzi. Those assholes have driven me off the road, hit my neighbors car, be rude to anybody in their vicinity and have no respect for the people they're harassing. Fuck them all I hope they DIAF.
