@katzswoman just stop talking. they are figures of speech... they are used rhetorically. MANY great songwriters/writers use metaphors and exaggeration to diverge from literal text. or else a lot of writing would be boring and uninteresting. i guess you haven't ever picked up on that.. .

Cooley is ever so gifted. His delivery and timing are very clever. I think he's gone beyond any of the big "Southern Rock" bands of the 70's & 80's. I seem to skip to the Cooley (and now Shonna) songs when I play their albums.
