my ballista test firing a golf ball and arrow (catapult)

I am horrible with a camera... but thats obvious once you see me take over....I shake alot :D

This was for a school project, im a freshmen and had no idea what i was gna build when i got to the hardware store :D.

The arrow i used was not the arrow i usually use with the ballista... unfortunatly my good arrow broke... this one is too long for the ballista and causes it to missfire and fire a shorter range...
my record with the arrow is about 55 yards.


in the video the arrow didnt go through the ground when it fired becuase it hit something hard under the swing set... i have no idea what it was though, you can see me putting the camera off to the side when i try to figure it out.

the golf balls fire generally around 45-50 yards.
