Opening comments by U.S. Senator John McCain after being introduced by California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. McCain speaks against the backdrop of an eight-crane operation of longshore workers discharging cargo at the largest shipping terminal in the world, based in Los Angeles Harbor. The International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) is calling for a 20% reduction in smokestack emissions from all ocean going cargo vessels calling on west coast ports by 2010.
Thanks again for posting this video of these fine gentlemen. One became an officer, pilot and P.O.W. survivor war hero, the other came from a modest Austrian town to learn a new language, become Mr. Universe, and then a wealthy successful actor. All before they entered politics. Accomplishments like these demonstrate the integrity and dedication one needs for leadership.

Two fine gentlemen without a doubt.
Best of luck to them both.

Let make another commitment to reducing greenhouse gases. And tomorrow another commitment... Maybe over time, all of their commitments will actually do something when they actually DO something.

what a horrible place to have an important meeting. It's noisey, and too active to pay attention to EVERY WORD he says. What a fiasco. He's a bad speaker too. Arnold at least knows how to "speak to the audience" not "at them". I coudn't pickup a damn thing Mccain said, or what he felt passionate about in his speech. It looks like he read a pre-written speach he was handed that morning.
