This game used to make me go into freakin' convulsions. It was so hard, my mother still recalls my screams of frustration. "Aaaaargh, I was SOOOOOOOOO CLOSE!"

I used to love how this level played out. I would always attempt to jump out of the water section and back in again to get around the Medusa. Very short and difficult stage!

Tube of Medusa, Asterite's Cave, the first globe hunting level, and Gravitorbox.
Gee, I wonder why those are among my favorite stages in the game (yes, even ToM).

Oh my god this level pissed me off SO much as a kid...I bet I couldn't even come close to beating it today. And this song went so perfectly with my insane button mashing trying to get away from that freaky jellyfish haha.

The soundtrack is up there with the Sonic the Hedgehog Trax in greatness. I remember this stage and that fact that it was a race made it even better. With a auto controller I would move so fast that the Medusa would eventually lose me.

It's interesting how this seems to be the only song that abandons the calm mystique of the sea and descends into panic. I love it.
