@BigShotTony i think he did it before that ,his first wife when was still married to him,said in an interview,Mickey came home,after weeks of not having seen him all bruised ,he lied to her and told her he had a car accident,of course c,she didn't believed him.They divorced in 1989.

Y'all are cracking me up about the cheek talk. I thought the fucking chipmunk cheeks in Wild Orchid were in my imagination. I can't tell you how pissed I get about the world's most stunning male face being DELIBERATELY fucked up by its owner. Could he have been ANY more self destructive? MADDENING. I know he has/had severe demons and I feel for him but he literally robbed the world because he is also a fine actor but his films sucked after the face hacking (except the Wrestler).

@bigbendewolfe Your post is hilarious; tickled my funny bone big time for some reason. Mainly because so true!OMG you are so right about "Another" being ruined in large part by that fucked up face. The movie sucked in general, but if he still looked hot then I, as a woman, would have been okay. But JESUS. As for Wild Orchid...yes, the chipmunk cheek implants and bad tan were obvious but he was still smokin' I have to say. :) P.S. The trailer for Wild Orchid is so cheesy you will pour wine.

I suppose everyone is intilted to his/her own opinion. I thought the trailer was okay. Same with the movie. And yes It is a shame about his face. he was very good looking back in his day. Anybody see " Diner". He was adorable.

theres really only been two rourke films where his face/plastic surgery literally ruined the film for me...Wild Orchid (those cheeks!!!) and Another 9 1/2 weeks (so depressing when you think of his looks in the original). This trailer is cheesy as hell by the way.

I've did research on the history of Mickey's plastic surgeries, and here's the rundown:

-As pointed out, he first started in 1990 with the cheek implants and also a brow lift (which accounts for the high hair)

-He had those removed after "WO," than got into boxing, where he sustained facial damage, which is why his face appeared puffier.

-He had cheek implants for "Fall Time" in 1995.

-His first full face lift was in late 1995 just before "Exit In Red."

very good clarification ! Thats something new. But around 1994-1996 what happenned then ? For sure his looks in for example F.T.W. aka Last Ride were almost the same as present. His hair was too high, his eyes changed, face got somwhat bigger. And you know there were those photos where his face was totally different, didnt it started in the bullet or a little bit later ?He looked like david carradine or something (that photo with long hair), much much older like he was 50 or 60

Clarification: Mickey had his cheeks filled for "Wild Orchid" in 1990 but had them removed after filming finished. However, when he started boxing, his cheeks got compressed and he had them filled again, which you can see in "Fall Time" (though they did a much better job there than they did in "Wild Orchid").
