In response to e-mails and comments I am showing everyone how it is possible to play complicated songs with multiple drums tracks Live, without any sequences. Like the rest of my videos I already know this one is not perfect...Just helping those with inquiring minds...to solve the riddle of "Oh Sheila"

Well...with your knowledge of wiring and such you may know of a way to get it done better than I would but I am pretty sure that MIDI was not around at that point. I always see drummers hitting pads of some sort in videos that used Linn sounds...but I am not sure if that was just for the effect of video or if they really had a system of pads that can be used. I would think that the newer electronics will not connect unless the Linn has MIDI connections. BzB :-)
Awesome lesson! My sister and I just just brought home a genuine Linn Drum LM1 thats pretty beat up. I have to do extensive rewiring. Anyways, we were wondering if its able to hook up to Roland TD9SX.
Dude this is a perfect roll out of the Oh Sheila shed!
Let me put you up on game.... Being that I played with RFTW and have been in the recording game in Flint, MI with Bernard Terry and out in Edina, MN with Flyte Tyme Studios..... That "NUK NUK" sound you refer to is actually from the original Sequential Circuits LINN DRUM machine. Prince used this and so did RFTW!
Bazy nice stuff mate, I always wondered about the possibility of sounds offered by electronic drums. Thanks for opening up our minds to all they have to offer. Great stuff and keep it coming.
