the christian guy seems like a really level headed individual id like to chill and have a nice philosophical debate with these two (mothers not invited ofc)

also i think hes not really a christian hes just a believer which is something completely different and much better

The idea of a debate is not telling the other person he is talking crap. You have to prove it through rational conversation. Insulting the other person does not mean you can win an argument wether your atheist, christian, right or wrong. But having alot of these debates I learned that noone will give in and usually it will escalate into yelling and eye gouging. Im atheist and I wont give in because of personal evidence. Christians wont for fear of burning forever and fellowship the it creates.

Of course, there's a downside and if you get two dominant genes for SCA then you live your whole life oxygen deprived but hey at least you dont have malaria and you can go on to reprouce! The SCA gene evolved to make it where while some of the cells were healthy some would also be sickle shaped and therefore not nearly as good as healthy cells at carrying oxygen BUT, and this is the incredible part, when malaria attacks someone with SCA, IT CANT KILL THE SICKLE CELLS because they dont read like normal red blood cells so the virus ignores them which allows those remaining cells to continue to carry oxygen throughout your

Now, more often than not a mutation either doesnt cause anything or it causes something bad which then the opposite would happen and the ones with the bad genes would die out and so on and so forth. Another good example, which i know is verifiably true, i sickle cell anemia. That was evolved as a defense against malaria which is why the people that have it are primarily black (malaria is very prevalent in africa). Malaria kills healthy red blood cells thus slowly making it impossible

period of low food supplies which caused some of the early giraffes with shorter necks to die of starvation because they couldnt get enough food. This, in turn, allowed the giraffes with the mutation for longer necks to survive and continue reproducing and passing along that mutated gene, where as the ones with shorter necks eventually died out, thus allowing that particular trait to become the norm within the giraffe population.

genes are passed from one genertion to the next certain mutations will sometimes occur in the offspring's DNA due to a glitch when the DNA replicates itself. Sometimes this mutation turns out to be helpful. For example perhaps a mutation occured in the gene that controlled early ancestors of the giraffes neck length which caused certain early giraffe offspring to have longer necks. This in turn might have allowed those giraffes with the mutation to reach leaves higher in the trees during a
