  • I think much moreso than the magic rack, alternate break really kills the spirit of 9/10 ball. SVB is a proven rack stringer, even on tough equipment. Obviously Ko has proven his own ability to string racks in this match. I want that possibility of someone running 5, 6, 7 racks and out while down. Nothing is more exciting in pool than a dramatic come back.

  • @TaSk1o4 gotcha! i know what u mean, but some people if not the majority of the fans like to see run outs. i myself like u like to see more difficult racks and defensive-minded games.. maybe that's why i enjoy watching 8 ball and one pocket a lot more

  • @vincentwu I'm not saying it's bad for the game itself. As a player I love the magic rack. As a spectator it sucks because it can make the game boring to watch. It was like they were playing 9-ball.

  • @mikep215 SVB is arguably the only world title contender in America now. there just isn't any incentive for professional pool in American these days.

  • @vincentwu when was the last time an american player have won any world title. hmmm i cant recall. i dont think they will ever win any for a long time. i'd say for the next 2 to 3 decades if that. but the winners remains either asian or european. hands down.

  • @TaSk1o4 how is a consistent rack bad for the game. the margin of difference for the racks a minimized with the magic rack.

  • @Stiletos you're absolutely right. taiwanese players have a reputation for being the most feared money players these days. its just hard to set up a big money match with SVB with Taiwanese players because SVB doesn't go to Taiwan much, and Taiwanese players NEVER go to America to compete (low incentive and language barrier)

  • @mikep215 its just a mentality that people have.. best player in their country = best in the world. for americans itd be shane, philippines - efren/busty, taiwan - yang/chao (couple years ago). but pool is really a game that top pros can beat each other on any given day. id give the edge to asian players in any given day just because they play with a bigger variety of players. however, i do know that shane has travelled a lot, but its a lot of effort for him.

  • i <3 shane

  • hahaha now who said shane is the best in the world and nobody can beat him. eat that loosers. lmfao
