Benedict XVI this morning received a delegation from the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople who have made their traditional visit to Rome for the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul. The Apostolic See reciprocates by sending its representatives to Istanbul for the Feast of St. Andrew, patron of the Patriarchate. The patriarchal representatives will be present at the morning Mass for the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul, which Benedict XVI will preside over in the Vatican Basilica. During their visit, they will also meet members of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity.
