Our first attempt at underwater photography. Sorry for moving too much. Constant 64 deg. water. The grate you see is at 80'. It keeps divers from going further into the caves, but lets the spring water in. Several divers lost their lives going too far into the caves, hence the grate and grave stones. • Yeah amazing man. My dad trained here for his Divemasters, and has told me about this place. spectacular man.

  • It is a very special place. Diving there you get the feeling of it being very old. It opens up as you go down since it's bell-shaped (the top of the bell being what you see at the surface). Thaks for stopping by. I hope you dive there some day.

  • I want to lean how to dive so badly! How long did it take you before you were ready for this dive?

  • We are far from experts, but I have been diving for a few years and my son of 13 years old was diving about a year. You could do dives like this in just a few hours under water. Just take some classes and get a cert card and a buddy. My head first decent was because I didn't have enough weight on and had to force my way to about 25 feet. You're not supposed to do that, but we had no more weight at the time. You don't need a whole lot to dive like this though. Just get started! Have fun, be safe!

  • I am taking scuba diving lessons right now in Colorado. This is where we will go to do our 4 open water dives to get certified.. I am nervous about it but thanks for the video.. gives me an idea of what to expect!!

  • Oh, and don't do the head-first decent like me. I had to do that because I didn't have enough weight on so I had to swim down to about 25 feet until my wetsuit compressed. Don't try that at home. HAR HAR

  • Nice dive! I received my open water and advanced certs @ BH last weekend. It's nice to be certified in such a calm environment before heading out to the open water. Then again, I can't wait for some dives in Costa Rica next week! BTW--if it isn't in the comments below, what kind of camera did you use for your video?

  • Hello Glenn,

On some of my older housings the water pressure pushed in the lens enough so it was not touching the lens cradle and allowed it to rotate. This was not a common occurence . The latches do not open accidentally as they are a twist lock design. As soon as I found out about the problem I started adding small strips of neoprene between the lens cradle and lens . This seems to be an easy fix and I have had no complaints using the neoprene strips.. Robb Moffett Nemo Housings

  • You are welcome! We had a great time making it. We shot several dives, but it seems like we had a lot of tech problems.(dead battery-out of film-dirty lens) You know, the first time movie star jitters. We hope your dives went well and you are a C-card holder by now. What a great sport!
