Reconstruction of Dubrovnik

Believe or not, still on internet there is a some serbs which swears Dubrovnik was never shelled!

Dubrovnik was from autumn 1991 till spring 1992 continually under savage attack done by so called JNA, serbian and montenegrian soldiers

Already in 1991 during period of hardest agression, citizens were fixing damage on roofs trying to keep life going on

After 1992, although under several shellings which lasted till summer 1995, and caused more destruction, they continued to rebuilt their homes and monuments

Reconstruction is these days close to end...Unesco heritage site, unconquered town Dubrovnik-world treasure and croatian pride shines again with the same shine

I visited there on the USS Saratoga back in 1985 and would love to go there again. the people were some of the friendliest in the world. the city was astonishing, and so clean. I didn't even see a cigarette butt on the street. then I drank the plumb Brandy and don't remember too much beyond that.

We were there 5 years ago, my daughter 2 years ago and we will return in May. 99.9% has been repaired. Beautiful city of history. Just so sad that the Balkans have been a bloody battleground for centuries.

čovječe pa nemogu vjerovat da još ima tolko glupih srba koji izvaljuju stvari poput onih da Dubrovnik nije napadan, i da su ono gorile gume.... nemožeš vjerovat kad čuješ takve gluposti....
