This is the remix of She's got Move's from Shantae: Risky's Revenge on the DSIWare platform.

I thought It would be fun to make the GBC version of Shantae dance to this...so here she is...and I think she's still got rhythm. I did this out of shear passion ^_^

As a side note, this was more of a learning experience for me, though it is still a bit rough around the edges with timing. I learned to work with 1 frame at a time to get the rhythm as close as possible and experimentation with color visuals and adding animated GIF's on a seperate track. Very excellent practice!

  • It's really good, i wanted to see a dance video with the updated sprite, if you do it i'm sure it'll be in good hands.

  • @backfire357 Thanks, hopefully someday I can get the DSIWare version on an emulator or something, then I can really go to town on editing with the new sprite ^_^

  • @solitarylonewolf Well like I said in my second comment they actually COULDN'T add any more than they had for the DSiWare. They'd maxed out the data. I think the 3DS's virtual store is not as restriced though, so you can expect more from the next one.

  • @IMadeAllThese Why'd they have to fuck up the remake? The original sounds more fun.

  • @IMadeAllThese While the dance mechanism in the DSiWare version isn't as good, they had to work with what they could, as DSiWare has a strict data limit. So the improved graphics and other things cut down on what they could do with the game, but they still pulled through to make it an incredible sequel, even with those restrictions, much like they did with the GBC original. The GBC game outmatches most GBA games.

  • @solitarylonewolf These were her dance moves in the original. She had more in the original, and using them worked sort of like using the instruments in the Zelda games. Now the DSiWare game is sort of short and has no towns other than Scuttle Town in it. The original had 5 towns, so you could use dancing for teleporting as well as transforming. There was also a few secret dances as well as even a dance parlor as a mini-game to make gems with!

  • Did you draw her yourself with new dance moves? Because I don't remember these moves from the iphone/DS version.

  • Virt Kaufman, fuck yes.

  • Unfortunately a lot of the cool dance moves seen here didn't make it to the remake. I was very disappointed. I would've liked to see her new colorful sprite dancing with these moves.
