@deafomega Don't worry about it. The point is, I thought it was worth it, so I bought it although, beginners would disagree with me.

@Oshyrath but you are absolutely right, no yo will make you throw better.

But a longer spin can let you have more time to make your attempts. It is up to the player, and their budget, what they feel comfortable using. I was iffy about buying the Stryker, but WOW, it was worth it.

I will admit, the Northstar plays equally well, and is half the price. (It doesn't spin as long, but it is awesome nonetheless) I use it when I am practicing, to save my Stryker from getting dinged up.

@Oshyrath I was only commenting on spin time. I don't recommend that a beginner start throwing something like a Stryker... Unless they want to really hurt themselves :P (Ive had returns on that thing that felt like I fractured my finger)

But for someone who isn't impressed with the spin time on their yoyo, there are only a few things they can do.

1. Play more. because the bearings break in and do spin longer)

2. Clean the bearing.

3. Buy a better bearing/yoyo

@deafomega I don't care if you buy a $500 yo yo. It's just that, it's not always practical to spend $40 extra for a yoyo that is only a little better. I am not saying you shouldn't. I once spent $100 on a v-cube. I can't force you not to do the same. The only thing is. When people start yo-yoing, they don't really need an expensive yo yo. They start off with something cheep, see if they like it, then they can go buy expensive ones.
