  • Give this weight shit a rest. This lady can sing.

For years she has transported us from our daily cares with her voice.

So many hits, so many other great songs. You do what she has done

for so many years then find fault .

  • @benedictines

  • @Raylene607 Thats only because we heard it for years sung by Randy Crawford but if Patti would have done it first you would say the same of her =) just sayin

  • i agree totally her voice is awesome just like randy ....... listening to this after a hard day basically takes you away [ nice ]

  • Great in every way! On the musicians listing ,there was no name of the DRUMMER???who is he? [Omar hakim?]

  • @benedictines Unfortunately everyone wants everyone to be so damn commercial. Ok... that is cool but allow the artist to become their best with out all of the molding and "grooming" that takes place. The execs may know the industry but artists have to be strong enough to promote themselves the way they choose. I applaud Ms. Austin for staying true to herself and not falling into the trap(s) of the industry. Trust me she has a loyal and substantial fan base. Awesome woman!

  • A LOT OF YOU NEED TO DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON PATTI AUSTIN. QUINCY JONES' GOD-DAUGHTER, WORKED WITH MJ, GEORGE BESNON AND OTHER ARTISTS BACK IN THE 80'S AND HER OWN ALBUMS. WHEN TOP-FLIGHT ARTISTS LIKE THIS GET TOGETHER, IT'S ALL ABOUT HAVING FUN, NOT COMPETING.

  • @free2bpoppie since u brought the bassist thingy i am of the same opinion, but as a bassist myself ,after listening to this i kno that no matter how technical i get n no matter how feel i get i ll never play like a black guy -.-(rare exceptions like stu zender,n jaco ofc -.-)

  • I don't waste my time comparing the artists, I instead listen to the performance, and this, is spot on.

I can listen to a bassist tear "Teen Town", a new one, and I appreciate the artist who is playing it, although in my mind, Jaco's is the version that I like the best of any that I will ever hear! Still a great performance, is worthy of its own merit.

And with Patti, you can't go wrong!

  • She's no RandyC, but she sure can pop those pipes!
