I love Venezuela, specially Merida. Merida is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and Venezuelans are the most sociable people in the world. My best friend is from Venezuela!
The steak houses are amazing in Merida. Fresh cheese, harepas, and meat cooking right in front of you on a BBQ at your table! All organic. It is heaven on earth. Amazing food, great nature.
Here is a T-Bone steak, marinated in coffee for an hour. Then crusted with smoked salt, black pepper, and coffee. Served with black beans and avocado. Simple, yet one of the best steaks ever!
Make sure you let the steak rest for 5 minutes after cooking. Do not keep the BBQ lid on; otherwise steak will broil, instead of grill.
Visit Merida once in your life. It is 4 kilometers on top of a mountain! Year round great mild weather (about 21 degrees) with lots of birds and flowers.
