Wow, this really is an inspiration farm! How I'd love to practice permaculture and biodynamics and some amazing crafts as well. ( It would have been great to have a visual tour of the rest of the farm and see how it's set up, like the garden.) Thanks for your comment -- more tours of farms like this one. We agree. It was drizzling that day at Inspiration Farm. We had to rig up an umbrella for the camera, so we limited the extra footage to the animals and the compost-heated shower, and were glad to get those!!

As for that whole biodynamic tide argument ... The ocean is liquid and very big, hence the tide. The effects on a living cell are completely overwhelmed by internal forces. Also, the tide strength cycle is annual, and unaffected by the lunar month.

Any coordination with the lunar month is down to nocturnal light levels, probably the blue component. Since LED streetlighting came to my area, I regularly hear loud birdsong while driving at night.
