Explaining the Symptoms (1/2) - Do you have Asperger's Syndrome?

I have a lot of problems with how AS is portrayed, people put certain words on us and they don't know what it MEANS. I even read a paper from a doctor who claimed that people with Asperger's lie more than normal people simply because He had read that aspies don't have empathy for other people. Which is just so incredibly wrong, most aspies are so truthful it hurts. Personally I have vowed to never lie anymore to anyone, because I've been lied to so much...by "normal" people.

So, here I go through the most common symptoms for AS and also give my thoughts and views on said symptoms. If you have AS and don't agree with me at all, then please tell me! Because I want to know if I'm "teaching" the wrong things. But I don't think I am.

And if you're a parent to an AS child or have a friend with AS then don't hesitate to ask me anything you want to know. I'd do anything to make sure that the people with AS don't get as misunderstood and bullied as I have been in my life. Even if that means talking to strangers, heh.

Hey, to the thing about Empathy, i can aggree with you, but you cant say it isnt true, because i know some aspergers, who do not show any kind of empathy, even when they try, you cant say its untrue, only because it only dont match to you, it do not mean that it dont match at anyone, i know aspies, who cant live alone or even work, it depends on the aspie, because we are all individuals and all different, so you cant say, we are all like that or that, its different.

The nugget of truth in it is that, being different in some odd ways, people with Asperger's may not empathise on some points.

For instance, when I was in elementary school, I would call the other kids names.

Teachers would ask me how I would feel, and I would honestly reply "I wouldn't care", because I wouldn't.

There are some things like that (different ones), but I can still sympathise with the situation and empathise with the emotion.

As for the empathy thing, you are misenterpreting a little. A little.

But the people who made the list could have as well.

The true definition of "Empathy" is actually really understanding why someone else feels a certain way, and thus being in a unique position to sympathise.

"Sympathy" is when you feel bad for someone's suffering, but don't quite understand the nature of it.

I call bullcrap on it too, mostly. I'm an aspie, and most people I know can vouch for my exceptional level of caring.

I have known a lot of other normal people who have been wrongfully associated with feeble-minded vermin. The existence of such vermin offended me. Therefore, I have vowed to destroy all of them. Be it taking down such vermin one at a time or sparring over the YouTube comments page, I will not stop until all of them are defeated and destroyed.

Socialization, the ability not to be uncontrollably obssessed with any ONE thing, and the ability not to be mindlessly re-petititive are only SOME of what are defined as the capacities of all normal people. I could list some more, but YouTube only allows 500 characters per message.

@meer1120 I'm a busybody because I reply to a comment made on one of my own videos? Do you think that youtube comments are private all of a sudden now? You use phrases like "feeble minded" but your lack of logic and your trolling ignorance is just making you sound like the feeble minded one.

Go back to nazi germany if you want to try and weed out the imperfection of the human race, if you're not going to do that then just shut up because you're a waste everyone's time.
