Surviving Cancer

Mike Ruel and his wife Deana Ruel represent cancer survivors in the Amgen sponsored Breakaway from Cancer Charity Ride in Thousand Oaks, California. The ride took place with Team Columbia HighRoad in preparation for the Amgen Tour of California. Mike a two year survivor of stage 4 tongue and tonsil cancer successfully raised nearly five thousand dollars for the Breakaway foundation thanks to supportive family and friends. Mike wants to convey to other cancer patients the importance of a great cancer support team and a positive attitude on patient outcome and the ability to thrive post cancer. Live Long, Live Well!
