@volkerstrauss you must really hate graceyounviolin to look very closely at her fingering and how she does the notes...she is awesome and you are possibly jealous of her.She is one of the MOST talented people I've seen on youtube....and I watch a lot!

It looks like your havin fun which is awesome!!!

AMAZING!!!!!!!

Have you considered plucking the bassline in certain parts? That would be sublime, if you still mess around with the song you may consider doing so.

You Cool girl ))

Amazing! I have played violin for years and I can not play HALF as good! Beautiful!

@volkerstrauss It looked fake at 0:25 because she changed her fingering
I don't know if nobody has noticed yet, but either this is fake or the audio is not taken at the same time as the video. Not only that the movements aren't quite synchrone with the sound (you gotta look very close) but also in 0:25 it sounds like a change of direction of the fiddlestick but in the video she keeps bowing in the same direction. Does sound cool though, I just don't believe that "A one take session"...

@volkerstrauss I record through an external mic so that audio quality is better. Unfortunately, I can't link the mic with the camera I have so I have to have the audio feed through my computer. After recording, I have to try and sync the video and audio together. I have better video editing software now that I did before so the syncing is a bit more exact.

@graceyounviolin Hum, well either way the strokes should fit to the music which don't. Not because the is a difference in video time and audio time but because the movement one can see is not in accordance with the sound. The music should sound different itself. No matter what audio device you have used.

@volkerstrauss With the instance you were referring to, I went from a 2nd finger to an open string. By moving to an open string from a fingered note, I'm taking off some tension from the string since I'm no longer pressing down on it so that's where the articulation is coming from. I also like to play with left hand articulation so each note speaks. It'd be more trouble than it's worth to figure out what I'm doing and record it until it's perfect.
