7 Billion: How Did We Get So Big So Fast?

It was just over two centuries ago that the global population was 1 billion — in 1804. But better medicine and improved agriculture resulted in higher life expectancy for children, dramatically increasing the world population, especially in the West.

As higher standards of living and better health care are reaching more parts of the world, the rates of fertility — and population growth — have started to slow down, though the population will continue to grow for the foreseeable future.

U.N. forecasts suggest the world population could hit a peak of 10.1 billion by 2100 before beginning to decline. But exact numbers are hard to come by — just small variations in fertility rates could mean a population of 15 billion by the end of the century.

Actually, that's the answer. Stop crazed liberals from disparaging human life, and let human life spread freely like how God designed us to multiply. Even nature wants us multiplying, for in nature, life spreads into most every available niche.

If the world grew more pronatalist, if people would repent and shun the shoddy contraceptives, and tell truth about how contraceptives are crap, we'd ADAPT better.

Seems to me, that Asia probably wouldn't be half the world pop, if the rest of the world would reproduce naturally, like how God designed. Why do you criticize Asia, for obeying God?

And it's rather absurd to suggest that a HUGE continent, can't somehow hold, many billions of people.

India has 3 people per 2 acres. Yet they grew by 200 million beyond their already-billion, during the last decade. Proves even mismanaged India can manage to grow much denser.

According to the evidence I just listed, it's the pop phobics who are forcing their views, because not only are they wrong, but they have the bigger megaphone, which is often at least partially paid for, by the taxpayers, the very people who would expect to keep their money, to support their own growing families.
