***A MESSAGE FROM AMBASSADOR JOSE BRILLANTES***

I am pleased to have this opportunity to extend my personal greetings to the Caregivers Resource Centre of Toronto on the occasion of the center's Caregiver Celebration.

Filipino caregivers around the world have always been held in high regard because of their unique contribution to the people's welfare. Your numbers and presence in all major cities of Canada affirm your vital role in the delivery of care in Canada.

As Ambassador, I want to help the Filipino community in Canada come together to meet the goals that are important to all our futures. Hardwork, personal ethics and responsibility, and a commitment to exemplary professionalism are among the values that I view as extremely important for the succes of a community such as ours in a multicultural nation such as Canada. And I have found an immensity of wealth in these values among our professional caregivers.

I am confident that each of you will continue to have a positive impact among the families you work with, our community in Canada, and among our countrymen backhome.
