This might not be a sound that you would expect from Basie, but it is a nice ride with Clark Terry featured here along with Basie and gang, none the less. This would be the last master from the last session for Columbia (you know, contractual things as they were) before Count Basie disbanded the troupes. This didn't last long as he was back the following year with a new band and recording contract with Norman Granz.
