Also, here in the US, you cannot have ANY alcohol in your cab, including cold medicine or alcoholic beverages. Even unopened, no liquor in the cab accessible to driver. Not clear about having aftershave; technically its illegal, but never heard of anyone charged for that. The medicine, though, definitely.

i am a ex lorry driver and never drank while on the road. i HATE drink drivers as in 1974 i was hit off my bike by and nearly killed by a drunk driver who ran off and left me for dead in the road with a broken back and legs. that driver deserved all he got.
