@alanack67 I prefer 33's they are a tall enough tire to climb over things, but they fit inside a jeeps wheel well very nicely so you can still get full articulation, with 35's you can run into issues.
The only reason I went for a V8 in mine is I want to use it on the highway, and with the shackle reversal it will do high speed with no death wobble.

@RichardsMetalWorks I have a amc i6 and dana 30s 3 speed manual and locking hubs that machine will never fail me I love it to death. The cj's were the best jeeps ever made period. There is no reason for anything bigger than 35's on jeep, personally i wouldn't go bigger than 31"s

@alanack67 I have an 80 CJ7, it has a shackle reversal, 4" lift, and 33's a 304V8 and soon an NV4500 and a dana 44 up front and a 60 out back.
That is a jeep that can go 4 diggin and not wind up upside down.
