Are you crazy? The Message is a paraphrase of the Bible, NOT the actual Bible. Also it is not ok to tell them not to worry about reading their Bible every day!! Paul said you need to constantly be renewing your mind!! and you should be encouraging them to read as much as they can. You need to spend more time in the Word yourself.

So... you're saying that there are parts of the Bible that SHOULDN'T be read by teens?! Shame on you... Get them from the milk to the meat, bro. You're right, they might have trouble understanding some of it... but it's their pastor's job to HELP them understand those difficult parts (rather than simply telling them to ignore those parts...) - including Leviticus.
